Description

Transmitted light microscope, used as a high power, high performance research tool for materials analysis. With HC Plan 10x eyepieces. Four standard Plan objectives (5x, 10x, 40x, 100x {oil immersion}). Two special 10x (oil immersion) and 40x (oil immersion) objectives. Equipped with tungsten halogen light source and mercury arc lamp. Motorised Z-axis stage with Z-stacking (multi plan focus) capability. Methods of analysis include bright field, dark field, phase contrast (with 10x, 40x, 100x objectives), polarised light and differential interference contrast. For quantitative polarised light work 2.5x, 5x, 10x, 20x and 40x strain free objectives are available. Also capable of birefringence measurements from very low to several orders and fluorescence work at 366nm and 435.8nm excitation. Leica DFC 480 colour 12-bit (2500 x 2000 pixel) digital camera configured to Leica Qwin digital image acquisition software. A photometer can be fitted to this microscope.
